MAP GENERATOR

Manual Tab
Allows the user to individually set different parameters for map generation. Can drag the sliders or input specific values from
0-100 for each parameter.

Presets Tab
User can also select from 1 of 9 presets, each of which hold set values for each parameter. Presets are named 'thematically', but hovering reveals a tooltip showing parameter levels. Includes a 'Random' preset which randomises all parameters.

Saving & Loading Maps
User can save a generated map as a data asset. This data asset can then be used on a 'Map Loader' actor to reload the same exact map. Map Loader must first be positioned as desired.

Limits & Warnings
Warnings appear when user sets map size above certain levels. Above 16x16 (256 tiles) yields a yellow warning, and above 24x24 (576 tiles) yields a red warning.

Parameters - Elevation and Vegetation
-
Elevation= Height variability and maximum height of tiles. Sets tiles as 'peaks' then gradually decreases height of surrounding tiles
-
Vegetation= Amount and spread of forest on green tiles. Sets tiles as 'forest cores' then spreads forest from there

-
Aridity= Amount and spread of sand/desert tiles. Sets tiles as 'desert cores' then spreads desert from there
-
Population= Amount and spread of town/rural tiles. Sets random tiles as rural, and sets some coastal tiles as 'town cores' and spreads towns from there
Parameters - Aridity and Population
