GENETICS SIMULATOR

Name and Gender
User can set the name and gender of their current character. Character limit for name is 15, accounting for UI layout. These 2 UI elements are persistent and remain at the top of the tool. Gender has no visual effect on the character.

Body Tab
For skin colour, height, and weight settings. A palette of skin colours is offered, as well as a custom colour picker allowing for more outlandish tones (blue, green, etc). Height and weight are sliders from 0-100.

Face Tab
For eye colour and shape, hair colour and style (with a long and short style available), facial hair option, nose shape, and mouth/lips shape. Viewport zooms in on face for clarity.

Personality Tab
5 'traits' which can each be set between 0 and 5 points, and a selection of 20 hobbies/interests of which up to 3 can be selected. No visual effect but saved in the character data.

Character Saving
User can save a single character (the one currently selected), or all the characters they have created. There is a character limit of 10, with all being re-selectable, editable, and deleteable.

Saved characters are available as data assets in the content folder. User can select any base character actor in the world and set their character data asset to any they have saved.
Accessing Saved Characters

Genetic Mixing
User can add a new character using 'Genetic Mix', allowing selection of 2 'parents' from the user's already-created characters. Genetic Mix then combines the parents' features to produce a new character.
-
Eye, nose, and mouth shape sliders are averaged
-
Hair, skin, and eye colours are mixed
-
Height is averaged

The new character can then be edited and customised further.
This does not actually determine any familial relationship in the editor (so any 2 characters, regardless of gender, can be selected as parents).
Genetic Mix Examples
Note: Weight, hairstyle, and facial hair are not affected by Genetic Mix functionality
